For 22 years, Divine Custom Homes has been a leader in the home building and remodeling industry—bringing homeowners’ dreams to life with an unwavering commitment to quality and a people-centric approach. “We focus on people: our clients, employees, suppliers, and sub-contractors,” President Jeff Warren explains. This philosophy, coupled with impeccable attention to detail and a dedication to going above and beyond, has solidified the company’s reputation across Minnesota and Wisconsin alike. In fact, previous clients continue to praise the company’s work, with one homeowner stating, “You build incredible homes, but what you’re really building is a great big Divine family.”

A prime example of the team’s work in action is this modern-organic home for a family of four. The project aimed to create a timeless aesthetic with classic, yet subtly modern finishes—all while ensuring each room exuded warmth and a family-friendly atmosphere. “The client was actually related to some of the build team, so it ended up being a very fun and open process that involved a lot of design talk over dinner and fun trips to the site together after hours,” Warren recalls. “This relationship helped us work in a very collaborative way that was centered on trust from all parties.”

When considering aesthetics for the home, the owners envisioned a design that would elegantly age over time, prioritizing natural materials and a refined palette. To achieve this, Divine Custom Homes incorporated white oak cabinetry, raw white oak beams, natural stone fireplaces, quartzite countertops, and aged brass and bronze finishes on hardware and light fixtures throughout. The kitchen and living room, specifically, exemplify this effortless connection, striking a perfect balance between beauty and family-focused functionality.

On the main level, many coveted features stand out for their aesthetic and practical appeal. For instance, a spacious three-season screen porch with cedar finishes provides a versatile space for both relaxation and entertaining. The kitchen boasts custom cabinetry and a beverage center, while “his and hers” offices—each of which embraces its own creative color palettes—offer personalized spaces for the couple to work.

Meanwhile, the lower level’s hidden gem is a masculine bourbon room, which just so happens to be one of the homeowner’s favorite retreats. This sophisticated space features a Roman-clay ceiling, white oak cabinetry with brass mesh details, and a custom wall of glass that looks directly into a white oak wine cellar—making it the ideal spot for enjoying a nightcap and cozy conversation.

As illustrated through this project, Divine Custom Homes’ success lies in its ability to not only build houses but also craft homes where families can create lasting memories for many years to come.
