Minnesota architects are getting well-deserved recognition with the release of “New View: A Curated Visual Gallery – Twenty Magnificent Homes by Midwest Architects,” published by Beth Buckley of benton buckley books. The newest installment in the publishing house’s acclaimed “New View” series, this volume spotlights the remarkable creativity and craftsmanship shaping homes across the Midwest.

Within its 344 pages, readers are invited to explore 20 exceptional residences that capture the region’s rich heritage, diverse landscapes, and enduring sense of place. Among the featured works are projects by Minnesota architects Brent Nelson and Chad Healy of PKA Architecture, Greg Vose and Mike Gray of Unfold Architecture, and Dan Nepp and Charlie Witzke of TEA2 Architects—each showcasing the elevated designs found right here at home. Together, their work reflects a shared commitment to authenticity, innovation, and beauty born of the landscape itself.

For the PKA team, this book was an opportunity to showcase the architectural prowess of a 5,000-square-foot Minneapolis condo, which was transformed with the help of MartinPatrick 3, Streeter Custom Builder, and several other talented tradespeople. “From the first sketch to the final install, this project was a joy,” Nelson says. “The clients, designers, and build team brought such positive energy, and it shows in every detail.” He also specifically notes the solarium, which “became a personal space that connects [the clients’] life in Europe with their new home in the city.”

Likewise, Unfold Architecture highlighted a modern home on O’Dowd Lake—a collaboration with Sustainable 9 Design + Build—which exemplifies the firm’s talent for crafting homes in harmony with the environments that surround them. “We’re proud to be part of the latest ‘New View’ release and to share company with such a strong community of Midwest architects,” the team says. “The featured home remains a favorite of ours, made possible by incredible clients who trusted us throughout the design process, opened their doors, and allowed their story to be published.”

TEA2 is recognized in the book for its work on a grand, yet unpretentious Lake Minnetonka project, which was crafted in collaboration with John Kraemer & Sons, Harris Weldon Interiors, and Keenan & Sveiven. “We feel fortunate to be invited to share our work in this beautiful new book,” Nepp shares. “This is the first time the featured home is appearing in print, which makes it especially meaningful. The 14 pages tell the story of this remarkable Lake Minnetonka home with rare depth and stunning imagery.”
