Honored Heirlooms
A thoughtful blend of vintage and whimsical design elements defines this lake home powder room by O’Hara Interiors. Anchoring the space is a beloved antique chest, passed down from the homeowner’s grandmother and repurposed into a marble-topped vanity. This custom feature, complete with intricate leaf and fleur-de-lis detailing, pairs seamlessly with the room’s playful, nature-inspired wallpaper. Classic tapered drum sconces cast a warm glow, while a large round mirror contributes a unique, modern touch.
Navy Envy
This Rochester powder room underwent a stunning transformation with the help of Interiors by J. Curry—shedding its late ’60s style for a bold, modern design. The space immediately captures attention with its deep navy walls and striking marble mosaic floor. Meanwhile, a custom wood vanity with a textured matte countertop offers both functional storage and flair. Complete with gold fixtures, floating shelves, and updated plumbing and lighting, this dramatic refresh is just as functional as it is inviting.
Breezy Lane Getaway
Nestled within an Interior Impressions-designed northern Minnesota vacation home, this powder room captures the essence of the state’s rugged, natural beauty. The design features a moody, owl-patterned wallpaper inspired by the wildlife the homeowners frequently encounter on the property. A traditional wood vanity, complemented by marble countertops and brass fixtures, balances rustic charm with classic elegance.
Old-World Elegance
Tucked behind a barrel-vaulted stone hallway, this Medina powder room by Tays & Co. Design Studios, Wooddale Builders, and JALIN Design captures old-world charm while also showcasing modern elements. Completed in 2023, the design tells a story through its sustainable, reclaimed white oak flooring; grooved, enameled wall paneling; and woven linen wallpaper. Hand-hammered iron accents and scalloped pendants add artisanal elegance, while a furniture-inspired vanity—topped with marble and antiqued brass—anchors the space.
Green & Serene

The redesign of a dated 1980s powder room by Kate Roos Design breathes new life into this 1930s home. The green marble tile that was original to the space is now elevated by richly patterned wallpaper and a fluted concrete sink with a custom brass base. A gold-leaf ceiling and brass fixtures add warmth, while a full-width mirror brightens the space. Thoughtfully designed to honor the home’s classic style, this gem of a powder room is now a showstopper fit for any guest.
Botanical Glamour
For this Rochester project by Stier Design Build, a spacious bathroom was redefined into two distinct spaces: a private master bath and a chic powder room for guests—the latter of which dazzles with a botanical-patterned wallpaper, brushed brass accents, and dark herringbone flooring. Balancing art deco elegance with midcentury flair, the design blends functionality and glamour for a comfortable, yet refined experience.
Blossoming Beauty
In Waunakee, Wisconsin, this powder room project by KASA Interior Design, Hart DeNoble Builders, and Melby Design transformed a large, cavernous space into a cozy retreat. Upon entry, a vintage gold door with a crystal knob sets a striking tone. Dark floral embossed wallpaper adds a sense of intimacy, while a flush-mount fixture on the vanity creates drama and gives the appearance of lower ceilings.
Colonial Charmer
This moody powder room by Mark D. Williams Custom Homes and Yond Interiors reflects the eclectic tastes and travel interests of its homeowners. A marble sink sourced from Istanbul anchors the design, while asymmetrical wall sconces cast a soft, inviting glow. Painted wainscoting adds durability, especially for a family with kids, and plastered walls subtly diffuse light for a calming ambience. Now, the stylish room is one of the most-used spaces in the home—appreciated for its beautiful blend of global influences, functionality, and artistic expression.
Fresh & Luxe
Located just off the front entry, the powder room in this Minnetonka condo by Bluestem Remodeling packs a punch with its eye-catching design—creating an elegant first impression while seamlessly complementing the home’s sophisticated style. Soundproofing adds privacy, while durable materials, updated finishes, and bold artistic touches ensure lasting beauty and functionality.
Modern European
The powder room in this Chanhassen home—designed and crafted by Lenox House Design, ADŌR Homes, and Alexander Design Group—boasts a “modern European country home” aesthetic. Schumacher’s Floweret Paperweave wallpaper in Summer sets a cheerful tone, while custom scalloped cabinetry in Sherwin Williams’ Resolute Blue adds storage in style. The Shaw fireclay vessel sink, Rohl wall-mounted bridge faucet, and custom quartz countertop were thoughtfully selected for their durability and clean look. Meanwhile, brass floret pulls, a beaded pendant, and a scalloped mirror add texture and personality.
