The name Revival House might sound new, but the knowledge, people, and legacy behind the interior design firm are anything but. Previously known as Mingle, and more recently, Studio M Kitchen & Bath, the Plymouth-based business welcomes a new owner, designer Bre Perrigo, who brings with her a vision that will carry the company into its next iteration of interior design prowess.

“I thought there was absolutely no way this was the right timing, but things fell into place,” says Perrigo, who, while pregnant, purchased the company. “It felt really natural, and it felt like the next thing to do.”

The change also allowed the small team (Perrigo, plus two designers, a marketing expert, and a general manager) to honor the existing company’s 13-year legacy of exceptional design and customer service—all while embracing Perrigo’s younger leadership, fresh approach, and vision for what Revival House would ultimately become.

“Our clients’ vision for their spaces is always top of mind,” says Perrigo, who grew up in the construction industry. “Our brand is a unique blend of masculine and feminine. It’s important for our clients to see that sometimes it’s not a female driving the remodeling cart—sometimes it’s a husband or sometimes it’s both. We don’t allow our personal aesthetic preferences to motivate or define our clients’ choices.”

What drove the rebrand was a desire to offer more services. Perrigo felt it was critical to build on the foundation from which Studio M Kitchen & Bath (known largely for its kitchen, bath, and elite custom cabinetry and refacing services) was established while emphasizing her new firm can, and will, do all of the above—plus more.

Whether it be furniture selections, accessories and details, or space planning, Revival House intends to be a full-service interior design firm for clients nationwide. “We have this long legacy we’re going to continue, but we do have a lot of exciting changes coming,” says Kayla Hoem, marketing director. “Part of that is, yes, offering more. We [want] to offer a more holistic approach to design encompassing flooring, lighting, countertops. We’re going to continue to lean into that.”

The team emphasizes its expertise in cabinetry design and strategic spatial planning. “Cabinet design is truly a specialty,” Perrigo says. “Not everyone can do it. And space planning, too—it’s what we’re so good at. Anybody can throw cabinets on a wall, but how well do they function? How do they look? That’s something we have always done very, very well.”

With the change, Perrigo also mentions a heightened continuity from designer to designer within the firm. “It’s all about that consistency,” she says. “I want everyone to be offering the same exact process and want every client to have no differentiation among all of us.”

The new name itself, Revival House, taps into the team’s revitalized mission. “When we came across ‘revival,’ it brought through the legacy and character of your home,” explains Perrigo. “We’re reviving a space rather than changing it to something it’s not. We want to bring out the true character of a home.”

New name, new offerings… why not add one more “new” thing into the mix? After a decade-plus in its current building, the company will soon transition into a more intimate, boutique-style space in a new locale. (The current building, sold to All Inc., will be transformed into a luxury appliance showroom—more on that soon!)
