Just in time for cozy-season shopping, Minnesota’s longest-standing manufacturer, Faribault Mill, is celebrating the grand opening of a new storefront at Galleria Edina on Sept. 18. This second Edina location marks a new chapter for the beloved brand, which has been crafting the highest-quality wool and cotton goods since 1865.

“We are thrilled to be opening at the iconic and beloved Galleria Edina,” says Ross Widmoyer, president and CEO of Faribault Mill, in a prepared statement. “As we celebrate 160 years of Minnesota manufacturing, there’s no better place to connect with the community and share our story than right here at home.”

Tucked next to Crave, the shop features the full collection of Faribault Mill’s blankets, throws, and home accessories—each piece designed to last for generations. Shoppers can expect to see iconic staples like the Frontier and Cabin blankets, along with limited-edition collaborations from local artists, including Adam Turman and Dyani White Hawk. New introductions like the economical, eco-friendly North Star line will be offered at permanently reduced prices in honor of the occasion.

The Galleria shares the excitement, noting that Faribault Mill perfectly reflects its own values of quality, authenticity, and elevated style. “While we haven’t been around quite as long as Faribault Mill, Galleria is proud to welcome this local legacy brand,” adds Rachel Oelke, Galleria Edina’s director of marketing. “We know our guests will love getting ready for the cozy months by shopping these products in person.”

If you’re ready to warm up for the chilly seasons ahead, stop by the new store for its month-long opening celebration—the perfect time to wrap yourself (and your home!) in a piece of Minnesota history.
