On Dec. 3, McNamara Alumni Center will transform into the ultimate party for the Midwest’s design community! The Midwest Design Awards gala is far more than an awards ceremony—it’s an electric, end-of-year celebration where builders, architects, designers, remodelers, artisans, and more come together to honor the best projects of the year, forge new connections, and raise a glass to creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship.
More than 1,000 entries poured in across residential and commercial building, architecture, remodeling, interior design, landscaping, and more. Our esteemed, independent panel of judges—industry leaders from across the country—are hard at work determining the semifinalists, winners, and the ultimate Best in Show honoree.
For some, the evening is a career milestone. “Winning Best in Show and the cover of a leading industry magazine was an incredible honor,” says Natalie Talley of Talley Jane Interiors, who won Best in Show in 2023. Others return year after year for the camaraderie, too. “We enjoy seeing so many friendly faces from the industry—builders, interior designers, architects—all in the same place,” shares Rachel Alexander, AIA, of Christopher Strom Architects.
It’s also a night that fuels inspiration. “The gala is a night filled with energy, connection, and recognition for the best in Midwest design,” says Pamela Carniveau of Coco Perry Design. “I always leave feeling proud to be part of such a vibrant design community.”
