Midwest Design

The Midwest Design Awards is the region’s premier program honoring excellence in design, detail, and craftsmanship. Professionals in residential and commercial building, architecture, remodeling, interior design, landscaping, and visual art have submitted their best projects for consideration—over 1,000 entries—and the 2026 entry period is now closed.  

An esteemed panel of judges from across the country is carefully reviewing all submissions. Each category will have three semifinalists, with one awarded first place. All entries are also eligible for the prestigious Best in Show award, determined by the highest score from the anonymous panel. Semifinalists will be notified in October.  

First-, second-, and third-place winners are highlighted in the Spring issue of Midwest Design in February 2027, while the overall Best in Show winner receives a multipage feature story. All finalists receive mass marketing to our loyal, discerning B2C audience, as well as the B2B industry that also turns to Midwest Design as a guide.
