Midwest Design

The Midwest Design Awards entry portal is open! The only program of its kind in Minnesota, the Midwest Design Awards is the region’s premier program honoring excellence in design, detail, and craftsmanship. Recognizing the region’s most inspiring spaces and the creative minds behind them, the program celebrates standout work in architecture, remodeling, interior design, landscaping, and more in both residential and commercial scopes. We encourage professionals to submit their best projects for consideration. 

An esteemed panel of national judges evaluates each submission with a focus on design integrity, attention to detail, craftsmanship, and more. Categories are thoughtfully curated and continually refined to reflect the evolving design landscape. Within each, three semifinalists are named—one of whom takes top honors. Every submission is also eligible for the prestigious Best in Show, awarded to the project earning the highest score across all categories. The submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. on July 31. 

First-, second-, and third-place winners are showcased in the Spring 2027 issue of Midwest Design magazine, with the Best in Show winner receiving dedicated feature coverage. Honorees also gain national exposure through Florida Design, our renowned sister publication.  

All semifinalists will be notified in September and invited to our December Awards Gala, where winners are announced and excellence is celebrated.
