The 2025 Midwest Design Awards is already around the corner, and we’re celebrating in style with an exclusive industry event on Thursday, May 15, at DWELL44 Modern Design Showroom in St. Louis Park. Bringing together the best in architecture, interior design, construction, and landscaping, this happy hour, scheduled 3:30-6 p.m., isn’t just about launching the awards—it’s about fostering cross-industry conversation, sharing insights, and connecting with peers.
At the heart of the evening is a panel discussion featuring four industry leaders in our community, each bringing their expertise and perspective on where the design world is headed. From shifting client expectations to emerging trends and the challenges shaping the Twin Cities design-build scene, the conversation promises to be as thought-provoking as it is inspiring. Katelyn Bloomquist, editor of Midwest Design, will moderate the discussion with the following experts:
- Ann Fritz, CID, IIDA, LEED AP; Principal, Director of Interiors at ESG Architecture + Design
- Matt Holmstrom, President at Nor-Son Custom Builders
- Dan Nepp, AIA, CID, NCARB; Principal at TEA2 Architects

In addition to the panel, the event will highlight key details about this year’s awards program, including new and updated categories, submission guidelines, and more.
