Minneapolis-based architectural firm Alliiance appoints Mamie Harvey as its new president, marking a milestone in the company’s history. After more than two decades at Alliiance, Harvey’s expertise and servant leadership will now drive the commercial architecture and design firm into its next era of growth and innovation.

“I am thrilled to step into this role,” says Harvey, whose extensive background in science- and technology-focused design has been instrumental in advancing Alliiance’s work in sustainability and social equity. “What sets our firm apart in the industry are our core values: partnership, inclusivity, and integrity. These principles form the foundation of everything we do, and I am eager to build on this legacy as we strive for the highest standards of excellence.”

Harvey succeeds Eric Peterson, who led Alliiance through significant transformation. He will now focus on the firm’s national and international aviation practice, ensuring continued growth in this sector while maintaining his role on the board of directors.

“This transition is an exciting moment for the firm, and now is the right time to elevate Mamie Harvey,” Peterson says. “She embodies the values of integrity, compassion, and commitment that have always been at the core of our firm, and we are all thrilled to see her continue our work in this new role.”

Harvey’s leadership marks a new chapter for Alliiance as it continues its mission to unite people and place through design. The firm’s portfolio includes a collection of works across academic, aviation, civic and community, environmental learning, lifestyle, science and technology, and workplace sectors, including more high-profile destinations such as 6Smith restaurant in Wayzata; Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Tomson Hall at St. Olaf College; Target Center; and more.
